GRANDMA’S MASHED POTATOES
Thanksgiving wouldn’t be complete without delicious mashed potatoes to pass around the table. This recipe comes in from our friend Phyllis and it’s sure to become a holiday favorite.
Ingredients:

5 lbs. potatoes (peeled & cut-up)

2 – 3oz. package cream cheese

1 cup sour cream

2 teaspoons onion salt

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons butter
Directions:
1.) In a heavy-bottomed pot, add peeled potatoes, enough water to cover the potatoes (about 1-2 inches above the potatoes) & salt.
2.) Bring to a boil on high heat. Allow potatoes to boil for 8-10 minutes or soft enough to stab with a fork.
3.) With a masher, mash the potatoes until smooth.
4.) Add all other ingredients & beat with masher.
5.) Cover & place in refrigerator overnight.
6.) Place into a baking dish.
7.) Preheat oven to 350⁰ F & bake for 30 minutes.
